Privacy Policy

Classroom Bot ("the app") is a personal, self-hosted automation operated by Applied AI Creative. It connects to Google Classroom so the signed-in user can receive updates about their own classes on WhatsApp and ask questions about them. This policy explains what the app accesses and how that data is handled.

Data the app accesses

With your permission, through Google OAuth, the app requests read-only access to:

• The list of Google Classroom courses you are enrolled in
• Coursework in those courses (titles, descriptions, due dates, maximum marks, links)
• Course announcements
• Your own submissions for that coursework, including their status and any grade returned to you

The app cannot create, edit, submit or delete anything in Google Classroom.

How the data is used

• To detect new or changed assignments, announcements and grades
• To send reminders and update messages to WhatsApp numbers that the account owner has configured
• To answer questions about your classes. When you ask a question, a summary of the relevant class data is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate the reply.

Grades are sent only to the account owner's own number.

Storage and retention

The app runs on infrastructure controlled by the account owner. It keeps only a small working record (assignment IDs, due dates and the last seen grades) so it can tell what has changed. Records for old assignments are removed automatically. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted by the automation platform (n8n) and are never shared.

Sharing

Google user data is not sold, rented or shared with third parties, and is not used for advertising. It is only sent to the services needed to run the app: Google (Classroom and Gemini APIs) and the WhatsApp gateway that delivers messages.

Google API Services User Data Policy

The app's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Revoking access

You can remove the app's access at any time from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. After access is removed, the app can no longer read any Classroom data.
